Project Spectrum - Pink/Red

I finished my daughter's tank!

Ballet poses always help a photo shoot.

This was done with Mikado Ribbon from Crystal Palace Yarns on size 4 and 1 needles. To celebrate (and encourage!) the coming of warm weather, I stopped by Unraveled to get something cotton tapey and a tank pattern for a 5 year old. Luckily I found this fun yarn and my friend Mary loaned me a pattern. I was very nervous about the fit. I measured a tank that she has that seems to fit well and worked from there. I was just a hair tighter with my tension than called for, but I worked a larger size and it all worked out. It's hard/impossible to tell from the photo, but I even added a little crochet flower with hanging ribbons on the front. I would have liked to have another inch of length on it, but I wasn't sure if I had enough yarn. Turns out I did! The three skeins I bought was plenty. Maybe I can work the leftovers into a One-Skein Wonder.
The encouragement worked - two robins were spotted in our backyard this evening - the first of the season! Come on spring!!!
